Introduction to Documenting Decisions and Assumptions in Valutico.

Updated over a month ago

Introduction

Valuation processes often rely on standardised methodologies; however, the decisions and assumptions underlying these valuations can be highly subjective. When presenting a valuation to external parties, users frequently encounter the challenge of justifying specific decisions or assumptions made throughout the process—whether it's explaining the selection of peers, the rationale behind forecasts, or adjustments made during the quality assurance phase.

To address this challenge, Valutico introduces the Notes feature which allows you to document decisions and assumptions directly within the platform.

How to Document Decisions and Assumptions

  1. Navigate to the Valuation Flow

    • In the Valuation flow, access any of the screens where you are working on your valuation.

  2. Click the Notes Icon

    • Look for the Notes Icon in the menu and click on it to open the notes drawer.

  3. Add Your Note

    • In the notes drawer, you can add your note detailing your decision or assumption.

  4. View Notes Specific to Each Page

    • Please note that the notes are specific to each page. To view all notes, simply clear the filter by clicking the X icon in the filter container.
