Share Valuation: Viewer & Editor Role
Introduction
The Share Valuation feature allows users to share a single valuation with multiple colleagues within the same organisation, without creating separate copies.
You will always remain the owner of any valuation you create. Sharing option grants other users controlled access to view or edit the valuation, depending on the permission you assign.
Valutico supports two permission levels:
Viewer – Read-only access
Editor – Edit access, enabling full collaboration within the valuation
How to Share the Same Valuation
1. Go to Manage Valuations and Folders
Open the Manage Valuations & Folders section from the main menu.
2. View and Select
Use the tabs to switch between All Valuations and Shared Valuations. Select a valuation using the checkbox.
3. Click Share
Click on the Share Valuation button.
A popup will appear where you can:
Search colleagues within your organisation
Assign each user a permission level: Viewer or Editor or choose to provide No Access
Click on Save Permissions button to apply the changes.
4. Shared Visibility
Once a valuation is shared, it appears in the ‘Valuation Shared with Me’ tab for each user who has been granted access. In this dedicated section, you can view a full list of all valuations that have been shared with you by other users of your organisation.
This view provides a clear overview of the permission level you have for each valuation, as well as the identity of the owner and the active editor where applicable.
Active Editor & Collaboration Control
When working with a valuation, the platform clearly displays who the active editor is.
If you have Viewer access, you will see the interface in View-Only Mode.
If you are the owner of the valuation, you can take control at any time.
A “Take Control” button will appear at the top of the screen, allowing you to immediately become the active editor. This ensures smooth collaboration and prevents conflicting edits.

Permission Levels
Owner: Full access and control, including editing rights, permission changes, and the ability to take over as active editor
Editor: Can view and modify inputs across supported modules
Viewer: Can only review the valuation without making changes
Access Control
