Valutico enables you to populate the Forecast module by uploading financial statements in Excel or PDF format, both supported by Eva AI (Co-Pilot technology) for automated data extraction. You can import line items from the Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement.
How to Upload Financial Statements
1. Accessing the Upload Feature
Navigate to the Forecast module.
Click on the ‘More’ button menu in the top-right corner and select the ‘Upload PDF/XLSX with Eva AI’ option to upload the financial statements for the Subject Company.
2. Upload and Processing
Select and upload your financial statement files (PDF or XLSX). You can upload up to 5 files within the prescribed file size limits.
The files are processed asynchronously (in the background). A pop-up notification will appear indicating that a task has been created and is being processed.
You can continue working on other tasks or switch to other modules while Eva AI processes the files.
Check back once the status of the files changes to "Ready".
3. Review and Mapping
Once the task is ready, the results will appear on a screen allowing you to review the extracted data.
On this screen, you can review each financial field extracted from your source documents to the corresponding field in the Valutico Forecast module.
You also have the option to deselect any fields you do not wish to include in the upload.
4. Finalizing the Import
After reviewing the mapping, you can click on the Accept button to successfully apply all the extracted and mapped data to your Forecast module.
You can choose to "Reject" the data to avoid uploading it, but this action will result in the loss of all the extracted information.
If you close the mapping screen without clicking on 'Accept' or 'Reject', you can still access the mapping later by opening the task associated with the file upload.
Figures extracted using EVA AI will be highlighted separately in the Forecast module.
Why this Feature is Useful
Reduces Manual Entry: Directly import data from various sources, saving time and effort.
Improves Accuracy: The review and mapping step allows you to verify all data before it is imported, preventing errors.
