Selecting a Currency for Your Valuation

When setting up a new valuation, you can choose the currency in which you want to value the company. This does not have to match the currency of the country where the company is based. For example, you can value a company in Thailand using USD.

To select a currency:

  1. During valuation setup, go to Step 4: Additional Information.

  2. Open the currency menu next to the Last Annual Revenues field and select your preferred currency.

  3. Once selected, all figures in the valuation will be converted into the chosen currency.

Working with Different Currencies

If your valuation involves multiple currencies, such as comparing a company’s revenue in one currency with peer data in another, the platform ensures consistency by converting all figures into the selected valuation currency.

Setting a Default Currency

If you frequently work with a specific currency, you can set it as the default for all valuations:

  • Go to Profile → Valuation Settings

  • Select your preferred default currency.

By following these steps, you can ensure consistency and accuracy when working with valuations across different currencies.

Adjusting Number Scaling

To enhance readability, you can adjust the number scaling format:

  • Navigate to the Company Details module within a valuation.

  • Click on the Scaling Symbol menu to select your preferred scale
    (e.g., thousands, millions, or billions).
